Project Description

This DC home is located in the Forest Hills neighborhood.  The renovated home was a blending of its original Colonial Revival roots and its new contemporary open plan addition at the back of the home, so it was important that the landscape and hardscape spaces also blend the two.  Traditional materials, such as the stone retaining walls, were carried from the smaller terrace to the retaining walls that define the garden rooms.  The clients are avid swimmers and they wanted to be surrounded by lush landscaping and a green Lawn instead of a lot of hardscape.
