Project Description

For this ‘Old Town’ Alexandria home, a new pool and two-level terrace space were integrated through the broad staircase connecting the two spaces.  Two colors of travertine marble were laid in a diamond checker board pattern and the travertine marble was carried over to the pool’s coping.  Brick was used as an accent to the curved stairs at back of house, as a border on the upper terrace, and was carried over in the existing and new brick privacy wall.  Large Little “Gem” magnolias were placed to screen views and promote privacy from the adjacent neighbor.
